Tech due diligence

Investors, buyers and partners who need to understand a target company’s technical substance before deciding.

Updated: 2026-09

In short

A tech due diligence examines what sits under the hood before an investment or acquisition: architecture, code quality, scalability, security and technical debt. The result is an honest risk assessment that can prevent an expensive wrong decision — before it is taken.

Before an investment, acquisition or close technical partnership, technical substance is often the largest unknown. An impressive demo says nothing about architecture, maintainability, security, or the hidden technical debt that becomes a burden later.

A tech due diligence makes that unknown measurable — an independent, factual assessment giving you the basis for an informed decision.

FAQ

How long does a tech due diligence take?

Depending on the scope of the system under review, typically one to three weeks.

Does it stay confidential?

Entirely. We work under a confidentiality agreement; the findings go only to the people you designate.

Do you assess the team as well?

On request we also assess the technical processes and the organisation of development — often as informative as the code itself.
